postponing reveal by one week

As I sit in the hospital waiting for more tests, I have to admit thorough disgust and disappointment in having to postpone reveal date by one week, to Saturday, May 10th.  I have tried with herculean effort to fight through some things that I am quite sure you're tired of hearing about but I swear there is nothing I can do other than postpone a week and beg understanding.

If you told me you were unable to make the original date but now can, let me know.  If you are going to be out of town, I hope you will be able to schedule your blog to auto post (there are directions further in this blog, or post on WWW.beadsoupcafe.com for help.

Once I'm done here at the hospital I'll send a mass email, too.

Trust me, you couldn't be more disgusted with me than I already am.

  5. Take care of yourself Lori and don't sweat the small stuff - and it's all small stuff. We'll all still be here on the 10th. Looking forward to the big reveal.

  6. Please -- no disgust!!!! Just take care and sending good vibs for positive test results!! (((hugs)))

  7. Oh there is NO reason to be disgusted with you! As someone who suffers from (essentially on paper) the same thing, I know better than anyone some of what you're going through so there is NO feelings except concern, love, and lots of positive vibes for you dear friend <3

This actually works out for me in the long run because I've been down and out myself for the past two weeks!

    Everything happens for a reason.

You just take care of yourself and your loyal friends, followers, and fans will follow YOUR lead. All the others that have an issue can take it up with ALL your supporters!!

  8. "Disgusted" is probably the last word I would use to describe how I feel about you Lori! I would go more for "courageous, amazing, tenacious, talented, unbelievable . . . " you get the idea. Please, just take care of yourself and know that you have a network of artists that support you every step of the way. Much love, many hugs and constant prayers for you my friend.

  9. Lori, I know it's not possible for you to just "forget" about the BSBP, but please PLEASE try and funnel your amazing positive energy to your health right now. Sending plenty of hugs and extra energy (this event has been marvelous experience for me and I have some extra Energizer Bunny juice LOL... so it's YOURS!) xoxo

  10. The most important thing is that you get better and do not torture yourself with deadline issues, because, I am sure, we'd rather you get better than keep the reveal date :)

  11. Sweetie, we just want you well. Hang in there, with warm hugs from all of us. Postponement is no biggie.

  12. We can wait. No problem. Banish the worry and regret.

  16. Lori - I have had week of computer grief, so this actually suits me. I'd been worried that I mightn't be able to post on sunday. But never mind my trifling problems! You just get through the urgent and important stuff and, most importantly, look after yourself!

  17. Please. There is no need to be disgusted with yourself. Your health is priority # 1.
So it gets postponed with a week? So what? Not the end of the world. Again, your health is far more important!!
So please take it easy, no worries about it.
In fact, for me it is much better. I'm swamped with work and was going to have problems making Saturday.
Lori, I so hope and pray you will feel better very soon

    3. I'm in the same boat with you guys! I couldn't be more pleased to have another week. (Though not for the reason that caused it.) I have two pieces made, not yet photographed, and I'm not thrilled with either of them. Only just got an idea for a third last night. Now I'll have time to make it work!!
You work so hard and have persevered through so much, there is no way I could be disgusted with you for postponing. Life is life, take care of yourself first!

No way could I be disgusted with you for having to postpone, Lori. You have a lot going on and it's amazing you were even up for doing this this year. Take care of yourself first, and the rest of us will just happily fall into place. Anyone who is bothered by it can just suck it!

  22. *hugs* Don't be so harsh on yourself, Lori, and don't beat yourself up about delaying the reveal. We can wait, the beads can wait. What is important, is YOU and your health. You are an incredibly strong woman, soldiering through all this, don't let anyone guilt-trip you. Get well soon! <3

  32. Lori, I am so upset to read that you are 'disgusted' with yourself. Really and truly - please, sweet lady, I can understand that you feel disappointed, but you have so, so so much on your plate. Go easy on yourself. Be kind to Zack's mum. You have a big - huuuuge, in fact - heart, and are super critical of yourself. But sometimes things happen in life, and you need to prioritise - and THIS IS OK. This is a blog hop. A bead swap. It's wonderful and a beautiful thing that you share with us, but it's no big deal for us to do it all a week later. Really. NO BIG DEAL. And you send anyone who thinks it is over to me. You've done the right thing for you, and therefore the right thing for the BSBP. Huge hugs and get well soon to you dear heart.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Please relax! I hope you get better soon! Life happens and even if it would have been a better reason because you won a great holiday trip instead of being forced to be in the hospital... these are things we can't change and if you stress yourself about this, it also won't do you any good! Take care, try to relax and also take your time (or rather give yourself the time). :)

  58. I don't know you Lori except from my participation in this year's hop, but I cannot imagine that anyone could think those things about you. It would be far truer to say that you should feel proud of this thing you do, in spite of all the horrible things you are going through. You strike me as being a very strong and determined person. Please don't be hard on yourself, be kind.
