Bead Soup Blog Party ® mentioned in BeadWork magazine

Thanks to Michelle Mach's writing, the Bead Soup Blog Party got a lovely write-up in the June 2011 edition of Super BeadWork magazine.

The article in Bead Buzz talks about the upcoming Bead Soup Blog Party, with sign-ups August 1-3, and features a necklace made by Heather Pyle from a Bead Soup sent to her from Emanda Johnson.

I'm so thrilled to see the excitement of the Bead Soup Blog Party get out to an even wider audience and I'm hoping this next party will be even more festive than ever before!  I have plans in place to create an easier way for blog hoppers to navigate and get a quick glimpse of the jewelry before clicking to each blog -- if things work out the way they should, this not only make for less stress but will also give a permanent place, here, in this section of the Pretty Things blog, for everyone's creation.

Until then, visit the post below, grab the blog hop button for your own blog, and get those creative ideas going!

  1. This is fantastic Lori! I'm so glad our paths have crossed. Your bead Soup Idea has been so inspiring to me. (As I'm sure it is to others) Allows me to step out of my comfort zone and come into the bead world. And meet some really wonderfully ladies along the way.

  2. Hi Lori, Thanks for posting this. I am so proud to be on that page and so thankful to have found you in blogger land. I love your new set up on the blog and joined the guest blogger page. I am looking forward to the next Bead Soup, all that beady goodness. This is the first weekend of the month I have had enough time to have a cuppa joe and browse. I did a lot of catching up yesterday and today. Love your new lampwork bead pieces, especially the watermelon beads on that beautiful bracelet!! They really pop!!

  3. This is a great idea. I am looking forward to the next Bead Soup Party. I have just written down the sing up dates on my agenda... I don't trust my memory

  4. I hope to remember to sign up, this looks like massive fun!

  5. That's great that it got a write-up. How neat. And sounds like you have something really special in mind for the blog hop to see everyone's bead soup. Can't wait.

  6. Lori,

That is so cool! I read that magazine and totally missed that. I'm so glad you pointed it out!

How exciting to have an idea be so well received. That is very exciting. Super happy for you that it's growing so much. And hoping you are sneaking in a few hours of sleep! Can't imagine how much time this must take to organize.

Thanks so much for taking the time to comment!
